Jennifer’s vision for North Texas Women Fishing was simple: 

Create a welcoming space where women could learn the sport of fishing, build confidence, and support one another both on and off the water.

What began as a small Facebook community has grown into a thriving organization connecting thousands of women who share a passion for fishing.

"When I joined North Texas Women Fishing in 2022, I was simply looking for other women who shared my love of fishing, but found so much more. From my very first event, I knew I had found my people—a community of women who genuinely wanted to see one another succeed. The sense of belonging, family, safety, and friendship helped me grow in ways I never imagined. 

The confidence I gained eventually led me to competitive crappie fishing. I realized I was the only woman, operating her own boat, at every tournament I entered. That inspired me to share my experiences with the hope that more women will step out of their comfort zone and take the helm. "

"I grew up fishing on Possum Kingdom lake.  I have always loved fishing and have a goal of fishing a tournament someday.   I haven't picked a favorite type of fishing yet, I just love getting out there!  

Since I never really weighed my catches, I'd say my PB is a 4.4lb bass caught at the 2026 NTWF retreat at Lake Fork, that was a blast! 

I'm beyond happy to be part of NTWF; it's a wonderful group with a lot of heart!"

"My name is Haley and I live in Azle TX. I have had a passion for bass fishing since I was a teenager and found a love in competing in tournaments! 

One thing this last year I realized is while I love fishing, I find passion in teaching ladies and helping build confidence behind the  rod and reel. My favorite lure to use is a shakey head with a black label hollow point tail and my favorite lake to fish is Possum Kingdom! "
